High School Football Districts Continue This Friday Night
High School Football continues for many area schools this Friday Night in the Districts Semi-final round.
In Class 3
- Mountain Grove hosts Osage
- Ava hosts Salem
In Class 2
- Liberty hosts Strafford
In Class 1
- Thayer hosts Cabool
Panthers Victorious in Round 1 of District Play
The Mountain Grove Panther football team continued their season Friday night defeating Warsaw 47-26 in the opening round of district play. Panther running back Tryston Short rushed for 302-yards and scored 4-touchdowns in the victory. The Panthers will now get set for round-2 of districts as they host Osage this upcoming Friday.

Panther Sports Update
The Mountain Grove Lady Panther volleyball team fell to Marshfield last night in a non-conference matchup. It’s senior night for the Lady Panthers tonight as they host Cabool. The junior high football teams will conclude their season tonight at they host Ava and Friday night the state ranked Varsity Panther Football team will play the last game of the regular season hosting Thayer.
