The Missouri State Bears beat the Drake Bulldogs in Iowa this week 79-70. Their next game will be a home game today against Evansville and Sunday the Bears will travel to play against Southern Illinois.

The Missouri State Lady Bears are hoping for a better homestand this weekend than the last one they went through. Their most recent weekend at JQH Arena ended in a couple of Missouri Valley Conference losses – to Drake and Northern Iowa. That ended a perfect conference start to the season and dropped the Lady Bears out of first place in the league. Missouri State sits in fifth place in the league race.

Next week, the Panther Classic in Mountain Grove gets under way, and the girls will be traveling to Mansfield for the Mansfield Tournament. The Panther JV will be making up the Willow Springs Tournament this Saturday.
