88-Year-Old Man Falls Out Of Boat, Drowns

(Bolivar, MO) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports an 88-year-old Springfield man wasn’t wearing a life jacket when he reportedly fell out of his boat on Pomme De Terre Lake and drowned. The incident which took the life of Donald G. Tidwell happened Friday. A person found the boat floating near a landing on the lake in Polk County and called for help. The trooper’s report doesn’t include any more details about the Friday incident in southwest Missouri and no witnesses have come forward.
