October Named Pork Month In Missouri

(Jefferson City, MO)  —  Missouri Pork Association Executive Vice President Don Nikodim says the state ranks seventh nationally in pork production with around a one BILLION dollar impact on the state’s economy. Nikodim says some  25-thousand Missouri jobs are tied to the pork industry and nearly three million hogs and pigs are raised in the state. He says the Trans-Pacific Partnership that’s pending in Congress is important to the pork industry. The governor and has declared October Pork Month in Missouri.
