Houston Woman Airlifted From Thursday Crash

A Thursday afternoon car crash injured a Houston woman. At about 4PM Thursday, 55-year-old Shelly Laurent of Houston was driving north on Highway-DD, 5-miles south of Houston when she ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned. The Highway Patrol reports that Laurent was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Shelly Laurent was transported by aircraft to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
