Wright County Car Chase Sends Man to Jail and Officer To Hospital

A pursuit in Wright County landed a suspect in jail and an officer in the hospital after the chase ended in a car crash. Hartville Police were in pursuit of a suspected stolen vehicle in Hartville when the suspect struck head on the Hartville Police patrol car injuring officer Dan Dudley and causing moderate damage to the patrol car. Dudley was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Springfield with minor injuries. The suspect, 37-year-old Clarence Mason was arrested with charges pending.
