Mansfield Man Injured In Friday Night Wright County Crash

A car crash Friday evening sent a Mansfield man to a Springfield hospital. At about 6:45 PM Friday, 64-year-old Ronald Ely of Mansfield was driving north on Route F, 10 miles north of Hartville, when a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Sherman Petty of Hartville that was traveling south and made a left turn into the path of Ely. The Highway Patrol reports that Petty was not wearing his seatbelt and Ronald Ely was. Ely was transported to Mercy Springfield with minor injuries.
