Ava Woman Injured in Douglas County Crash

A Douglas County car crash at around 4:20 Wednesday afternoon resulted in minor injuries for an Ava woman. 72-year-old Carol Curtis of Ava was traveling westbound on Highway-14 eight miles east of Ava, when she ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and a telephone pole and overturned. The Highway Patrol reports that Curtis was wearing her seatbelt. She was transported to Cox South in Springfield with minor injuries.
