Friday Deadly Motorcycle Crash Near Grovespring

A Wright County motorcycle crash was deadly for a Marquand, Missouri woman. At about 2PM Friday afternoon, 59-year-old Rebecca Homann of Marquand was riding wet on Route-H, east of Grovespring when she went off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree, ejecting Homann from the motorcycle. The Highway Patrol reports that she was wearing her helmet. Homann was flown by Mercy Lifeline to Mercy Hospital Springfield where she was pronounced deceased. This is the 23rd fatality in Troop G, compared to 17 at this date last year.
