Anheuser-Busch Cutting Thousands Of Jobs
Anheuser-Busch InBev will eliminate thousands of jobs as a part of its 100-billion dollar deal to acquire SAB-Miller. The two companies have a combined workforce of 220,000 employees and plans are to cut the number by three percent. It isn’t clear what the impact on the Missouri workforce of 4,000 might be, but a company spokeswoman says no significant changes in the US business are anticipated. AB InBev just completed a $150-million expansion of its aluminum bottle plant in Arnold where 70 jobs were added.
