Sheriffs Now Have Statewide Mutual Aid

Sheriffs across the state can now call on any of their colleagues. A new state law expands requests for mutual aid to all 114 of Missouri’s counties. The old state law limited sheriffs to asking only their neighbors for help. Supporters say the new law should make it easier the next time there’s a natural disaster or emergency situation.
