Mountain Grove School Board Approves Policies and Free and Reduced Meals

The Mountain Grove R-3 School Board met Wednesday night. After approval of the agenda, minutes, financial report, and payment of bills, the board approved board policy ACAE which addresses transgender students in the district. The policy would recognize that the district may have students that identify as a gender other than how they were born but states that students must use the restroom and locker rooms consistent with their birth gender.

The board also approved annual appointments, approved the free and reduced meals program and approved bus routes. The bus routes are generally the same as previous years with a change in the bus going to Drury and Dora and that the handicap bus is a larger bus this year.

The board also approved board policies GCBC and GDBC and read reports on assessments and the curriculum development plan along with the superintendent’s report. The  Mountain Grove R-3 board then went to into closed session to discuss legal and personnel matters before holding a self-evaluation and adjourning.
