Doctor From Mountain Grove New Head Of American Medical Association
(Mountain Grove, MO) — A doctor from the Missouri Ozarks is the president-elect of the American Medical Association. Dr. David Barbe of Mountain Grove becomes the first AMA president from Missouri in 80 years. Barbe is vice president of regional operations for Mercy Springfield Communities, overseeing five rural hospitals, 90 clinic practices and more than 200 physicians and advanced practitioners in both Missouri and Arkansas. He has practiced medicine since 1983.
