Willow Springs Introduces New Officers and Sexual Assault Proclamation

20160421_17204820160421_172641(0)Willow Springs City council then certified the April election results and swore in Ward 1 Alderman Susan Rackley and Ward 2 Alderman Troy Yonker for another term on the Willow Springs City Council. The meeting was then called to order for regular session with approval of the consent agenda followed by a proclamation made for Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the Christo’s House.

20160421_172842Police Chief Dan Dunn introduced 2 new police officers to city council, the new officers are Calvin Romans and Jordan Goodwin. Council also decided to extend community clean up day to 2 days a week apart, May 14th and 21st. A presentation was made about MIRMA health insurance. The MIRMA plan would set the city up to be a fully self-funded insurance plan in a couple years with more customized benefits for city employees. City Council also approved a mutual aid agreement for the city electric utility with other utilities across the region and reviewed the progress on the new city website.
