Wright County Government to be Audited

220px-Nicole_Galloway_PhotoThe Missouri State Auditor, Nicole Galloway, announced that her office will start their audit of the county government in Wright County. Wright County was last audited in June of 2012 where findings were found for the offices of sheriff and prosecuting attorney. The last audit also identified an issue with the county commission failing to prepare minutes for closed meetings. The upcoming audit will review those and look for any other issues and make recommendations for improvements. The auditor’s office can be contacted by emailing moaudit@auditor.mo.gov or by calling 1-800-347-8597.

  1. I’m just curious to know what all does an audit cover? Can a City Government hide what they are doing from an auditor?
