Two Ava Teens Injured in Douglas County Crash

Two Ava teens were injured in a Douglas county crash at about noon Tuesday. 18-year-old Christian Ellison and 18-year-old Sierra Cory, both of Ava were traveling east on Route P, 12-miles southeast of Ava when they struck a stopped van driven by 20-year-old Austin Ratliff of Ava. Ratliff was stopped for an animal in the roadway. The Highway Patrol reports that Ellison and Cory where not wearing their seat-belts, they were transported to Cox South in Springfield with moderate injuries.
