Houston Mo Native Anchor’s National TV Newscast
A Houston native and 1993 graduate of Houston High School is taking to the TV airwaves. Janet Adkison grew up around livestock farming and later studied agricultural communications at MSU. She then went on to do a seven-year stint as the farm director at KMZU in Carrollton, Missouri. She was a farm broadcaster for the Arkansas Radio Network and Brownfield Network. In April of 2013, Adkison joined the RFD-TV network and recently became the anchor of Rural Evening News Market Day on RFD-TV.
