Wright County Voters To Decide Fate of Tax On Out-Of-State Vehicle Purchases
Wright County Voters will be asked tomorrow to decide if the county and some municipal entities will be able to collect sales tax on vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors purchased from out-of-state dealers and individuals. Wright County Clerk Nelda Masner says that they initially tried to world the ballot language in a more positive manner where a yes vote would keep the tax and a no vote would get rid of it, she says that unfortunately they had to use the state ballot language…
Masner says that this tax has a significant impact on many parts of the county budget…
The polls open at 6AM Tuesday morning and close at 7PM Tuesday night across the state. Wright County voters can call the county clerk’s office at 417-741-6661 for questions on elections and polling places.
