Troop G Conducts Sobriety Checkpoint Outside Mountain Grove
Troop G Highway Patrol troopers conducted a sobriety checkpoint at the intersection of Business 60 and Dunn Road just outside Mountain Grove last week. Troopers issued a total of 11 citations and 20 warnings along with 1 felony drug arrest and 1 felony arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. Of the 11 citations, 4 were for seat belt violations, 1 was for failure to have a driver’s license, 1 was for a non-moving violation, 3 for failure to have insurance and 2 for driving while suspended or revoked. Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G says “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver.”
