Active Shooter Drill Becomes Actual Thing At US Capitol

Some workers in the offices of the Missouri congressional delegation say they were briefly confused when an active shooter drill was followed by the real thing. A man carrying what looked like a gun was shot at the U-S Capitol Visitors Center. In Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler’s office, spokesman Kyle Buckles says some people dismissed the excitement as part of the drill — but it wasn’t. The Capitol complex was locked down for nearly an hour Monday, but the man carrying a pellet gun was the only one hurt.
