Ava Man Injured in Car Crash

A car crash in Douglas county sent an Ava man to the hospital with moderate injuries. At about 6:30PM Thursday night, 57-year-old Keith Farris of Ava was driving south on Highway-5, north of Ava when ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Farris was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries. The Highway Patrol report that he was wearing his seatbelt.
