Voter Photo ID Measures Pass Missouri House Committee
The Missouri House Committee on Elections has approved two measures requiring voters to show a government-issued photo identification to cast a ballot. One of the bills would call for a vote on an amendment to the state constitution and the other would outline how the requirement would be put into place. Similar bills have been introduced in the Missouri Senate. Although the measures have to make it through one more House committee, a vote could still come next week in the full House.
