Success Man Seriously Injured In New Years Day Crash

A crash over the New Year holiday in Texas County sent a Success man to the hospital with serious injuries. At about 1AM on January 1st, 23-year-old Christopher Mooney of Success was driving north on Highway 17, 2-miles west of Houston when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and overturned. Mooney was transported to ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries. The Highway Patrol says that Mooney was not wearing his seatbelt.
