Pulaski County Sheriff Dispels Terrorist Myth on Facebook
The Pulaski County Sheriff has gone on Facebook to set the record straight about some explosives found in the Mark Twain National Forest last October. A US Army combat engineer from Fort Leonard Wood found the materials while hunting. One national news outlet printed an article about possible terrorist activity in central Missouri. Sheriff Ron Long says an investigation by the US Army and the Missouri State Highway Patrol found nothing linking the explosives to any terrorist activity. Long says it can’t be ruled out, but it is highly unlikely.
