West Plains Man Dies in Crash South of Willow Springs
A West Plains man died in a crash this weekend on US-63, 5 miles south of Willow Springs. At about 5PM Friday evening, 50-year-old Kenneth Ginn of West Plains was driving his pickup truck north on US-63 when another pickup driven by 49-year-old Chad Arnold of Rolla struck Ginn in the rear causing Ginn to cross the median, overturn and continue across the southbound lanes and come to rest off the west side of the roadway and partially eject Ginn from his vehicle. The Highway Patrol and Howell County Sheriff report that Ginn and his passenger, 47-year-old Lisa Brown of West Plains were both wearing their seatbelts. Brown was transported to Ozarks Medical Center with moderate injuries, Ginn was pronounced dead at the scene by Sheriff Mike Shannon. Chad Arnold was arrested on charges of felony involuntary manslaughter and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
