Licking Woman Dies in Weekend Crash

A Licking woman died this weekend in a crash on Route-BB, 5 miles from Licking. At about 5PM Saturday, 17-year-old Kelsie Hayes of Licking was driving east on Route-BB when she ran off the roadway in a curve and overturned several times before striking a tree and coming to rest on the driver’s side. The Highway Patrol and Texas County Sheriff report that Hayes was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
