Raymondville Man Crashes, Charged with DWI and C&I Driving

A Raymondville man was injured in a weekend car crash on Route-B, just east of Houston. At about 2AM Sunday morning, 27-year-old David Cope of Raymondville was driving east on Route-B when he ran off the right side of the road, then crossed over off the left side of the road, striking a tree. The Highway Patrol reports that Cope was not wearing a seatbelt, he was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Cope has been charged with driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.
