Howell County Special Election Nov 3rd

A special election in Howell County and the City of West Plains will take place a week and a half from now. The election will take place on Tuesday November 3. The City of West plains and South Howell County Ambulance District will have issues on that ballot. The South Howell County Ambulance District is asking voters for a 1-half of 1-percent sales tax to replace the district’s property tax. The City of West Plains is asking voters if they want the city to discontinue sales tax on vehicles, trailers and boats purchased out-of-state. Absentee ballots are available at the Howell County Clerk’s office.
