Deer Hunter Stumbles on Explosives in Pulaski County

A deer hunter stumbles upon some explosives in an area of the Mark Twain National Forest near Highway 17 in central Missouri. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the person or persons who left the explosives on a jeep trail. The Explosives Ordnance Disposal Unit from Fort Leonard Wood joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s EOD Unit and the Waynesville Rural Fire Department at the scene. The materials were too volatile to move, so they were detonated at the scene.
