Ava Man Injured and Charged with DWI From Crash in Christian County

An Ava man was injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday night in Christian County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 26-year-old Matthew Hodges suffered moderate injuries when his 1997 Pontiac Sunfire ran off the road, struck a fence and then overturned. Hodges was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The crash occurred on Route-JJ, 2 miles east of Ozark. Following the crash, Hodges was charged with driving while intoxicated.
