New Welding Program in Willow Springs

Welding-PhotoStarting in the spring semester of 2016, the South Central Education Consortium in Willow Springs will be offering a new curriculum in the welding field. In preparation for that new welding program, they will be offering some short-term courses. School Officials say a total of 10 students took advantage of the Basics of MIG Welding course offered in September. Starting in November SCEC is offering a Basics of Welding Blue Print Reading course, which is being offered through Three Rivers Community College. This class will be taught at the facility at 908 Springfield Road in Willow Springs. Classes begin on November 3rd and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9PM for 4 weeks. The cost of the program is $125, and a minimum of 5 students are required for the class. Participants who have not done so will be required to complete the free WorkKeys Assessment before enrolling. Those interested in take the class need to contact the center at 417-469-3000.
