Arrests Made in Ava School Bomb Scare

Two students at Ava Middle School were arrested Tuesday night after police say they were connected to a note about bombs at the school. Police officers and firefighters combed the school earlier in the day and say they found a map with classrooms marked “bomb”, however, no bombs were found in the building. The entire school was evacuated during the search. The Ava Police Department along with the Douglas, Wright, and Ozark County Sheriff’s Office responded to the threat, as did several area fire departments. Police say a boy and a girl are in custody and more arrests are possible.
